Executive Assistant Responsibilities:
Schedule and remind the Directors of meetings.
Collate financial statements, reports, memos, invoices letters, and other documents.
Handling basic bookkeeping tasks.
Filing and retrieving corporate records, documents, and reports.
Researching and prepare documents for review and presentation to the Managing Director.
Helping prepare for meetings.
Accurately recording minutes from meetings.
Using various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
Making travel arrangements for executives.
Performing office duties.
Opening, sorting and distributing incoming faxes, emails, and other correspondence.
Provide general administrative support.
Executive Assistant Requirements:
Proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite.
At least 5 CXC passes including English A and Mathematics.
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
Professional level verbal and written communications skills.
Core Functions
Offer first class customer experience while building trust-based relationships in the high net worth space.
Increase the Company's market share in the securities markets through prospecting, selling and cross-selling of the company's services.
Appropriately measure risk tolerance and asset allocation of client-portfolios for making sound investment recommendations.
Generate targeted levels of revenues by appropriately assisting with distributing the company's investment offerings.
Build meaningful relationships across Waterloo Capital Advisors strategic international and regional partners to leverage opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or any other related discipline.
Work experience in investment advisory and portfolio management at a financial institution will be an asset.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving the security selection process and actively participating in the investment decision-making process.
Providing daily analysis and market intelligence regarding market sentiment and trading environment to maximize efficiency of investment decisions.
Developing and maintaining relationships with local and international securities dealers.
Providing analytical support to internal departments.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
A first degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within the financial services industry.
Knowledge of local fixed income, equities and alternative investments and their trading characteristics.
Strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis on interpersonal skills.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
A strong team-player
Ability to demonstrate tact, confidentiality, and professionalism in the execution of duties.
Ability to contribute to a high performing team
Sound judgement and excellent decision-making skills.
A high degree of accountability.
